nice shelving unit

Got this for my mom's record player and it's great. She doesn't have many records anymore and I just got her a new record player, so she's been enjoying the nostalgia and having her records easily accessible immediately under the record player has been nice for her.

Perfect for my needs!

I had been storing my record player in the tv cabinet, under my tv, which was fine except that it was kind of cramped and not easily accessible for when I wanted to listen to music. This stand got my record player out and in the open, and my records are stored underneath.

Fine aesthetics, slightly flawed mechanics

This product gets five stars for decorative design, quality control, and ease of assembly! It couldn't have gone together more easily, the parts all appear flawless, and it's loaded with thoughtful small features like leveling feet and spare fasteners (turntable and speakers pictured are not included).Flaws? Here's two:The shelves are attached with fasteners inserted from the sides, an intrinsically weak attachment method even for solid wood, and more so for particleboard. The bottom shelves partially reinforce each other and are less exposed to inadvertent stress, but the top shelf, with fasteners inserted at the corners, is one accidental push away from destruction. A secondary issue is that the top, apparently intended to support a small record player, is unlikely to be wide enough—the pictured turntable is resting on the frame (which does have the benefit of protecting the weak shelf). There are many reasons to like this product and it's a shame that one structural Achilles' heel was allowed through, when a small redesign could have fixed it. Tabs on the frame supporting the shelf from the bottom and secured by small screws would have resulted in a much more durable product. Otherwise this is a beautiful and useful example of the prefabricated furniture maker's art, and the finished product looks great.

Great Table for Vinyl Storage

The table is nice and has decent quality. Some points of the metal can be rough or have noticeably poor welds, but it doesn't seem to affect the sturdiness much. The top fits my Vitrola vinyl player decently nice, but leaves no room for external speakers beside it. The bottom portion was easily able to fit 50-54 vinyls with a mix of different thicknesses.
